„Amíg te teszel dolgokat Istenért, addig még nálad van az irányítás.” – vetette oda Johanna a tegnapi túra közben. Jézus pedig lecsapott a pillanatra:
Amíg te teszel értem dolgokat, addig nálad van az irányítás. Ha én teszek érted dolgokat, akkor nálam van az irányítás. A szolgálat sokszor menekülés az elől, hogy megadd magadat nekem. Amíg te teszel értem, addig kiszámíthatóak a dolgok. Amikor én teszek, azt sehogy nem tudod befolyásolni. És ettől félsz. Ezért könnyebb szolgálni engem, mint hagyni, hogy én szolgáljalak. Amíg nem szolgálhatlak én téged, semmi közünk nincs egymáshoz. Ezt Péternek is megondtam. Amikor hagyod, hogy én szolgáljak neked, akkor vagy a legalázatosabb, mert átadod az irányítást nekem. Tehát az önfeladás lényege, hogy minden tekintetben hagyod, hogy én szolgáljak.

„As long as its about you doing things for God, you have the control.” -said a friend on mountain trip yesterday. Jesus couldn’t help but jump in:
As long as you do things for me, it is you who has the control. When I do things for you, I have the control. Serving is many times nothing more then running away from surrender. When you do things for me, things are predictable. When I do things, you can’t influence them. And it scares you. This is why it is easier to serve me than to let me serve you. As long as you don’t let me serve you, we don’t really belong. That’s what I said to Peter as well. When you let me serve you, that’s when you are the most humble, becuse you hand over the control to me. So the meaning of surrender is to let me serve you in every possible way.
